“Do Not Solicit” List

In February of 2017 the Adams Township Board of Supervisors passed Ordinance #159, relating to the regulation of door to door solicitation.  The new ordinance prohibits transient merchants or canvassers from soliciting at ANY property which is posted as “NO TRESPASSING”, “ABSOLUTELY NO SOLICITATION”, or any similarly worded sign.  Additionally, this ordinance provides for the establishment of a “DO NOT SOLICIT” list.  When a solicitation permit is issued, a list will also be provided to the applicant detailing the addresses that are on the “DO NOT SOLICIT” list, and therefore shall be off limits.  In order to be added to the list, the resident must submit to the Township, in writing, that they do not wish to be solicited, peddled to, or canvassed.   Any resident wishing to do so can complete the online form below, and the information will be added to the “DO NOT SOLICIT” list.  Requests can also be made by dropping off a written request at the Adams Township Police Department, or by mailing a written request to the police department, at 690 Valencia Rd, Mars PA 16046.  A copy of the ordinance can be found here.
